Talk about toughie. Soucek should get it. Because he seems to be the last man standing. But regardless of where we finish. I would scrap it this year. And give a award to the entire team. The Boys of 86 may have ended higher up the table and with more points. But I never seen this team play so consistently as a group of players since I been following this wonderful team.

To me it is significant that in a rare good season there are several players in contention for HoY. It is indicative of how this has been a genuine team effort. In our last stand out, by our standards, season Payet was clearly the man but here we are with several players in the running and I’m genuinely stuck.

Was thinking about this last week. Can't remember a season before now where there wasn't a standout player. This year we've had at least half a dozen strong contenders, and none of them are much further ahead than the other first teamers even, let alone each other.
Just a really strong team performance, so give it to the whole team, or even Moyes.

Still 7 games to play, that’s nearly 20% of the season.
Ogbonna was top of my list before getting injured and I think he will be top at the end of the season. Coufal is my challenger to Ogbonna.

I can’t see how it can’t go to either Rice or Soucek. Don’t think anyone else is near the pair of em, easily the 2 best players at the club and have been the driving force all year. I’d just edge to Soucek cos of his goals.

Difficult this, I find myself agreeing with Stowie and I just said it should be Ogbonna or Coufal!!
I think I’m right to say Soucek has played every game and put in many impressive performances and important goals.

What a season. At least half a dozen players could win it.
Two not being touted too much are Fab and Bowen.
Fab has stopped so many goals he is thereabouts, but going right back to the start of the season as well as Soucek Bowen also provided that spark and energy and commitment which has just about carried on since. He is a main catalyst to where we are now.

Ogbonna , First choice before he got injured but why not still. Defence not been as assured whilst he has been away. When he gets back he may regain his front runner status.

Ogbonna for me. Absolute rock at the back and was having his best season at us until his injury.
Great signing and has got better and better as the years have gone on.

Ogbonna has been great for the last season and a half, but let's be honest he needed to get better was pretty shit for quite a while.

Spot on. Looked at that list and can easily see the merit in all of those you named, and as you say you could quite easily justify moving Bowen and Fornals into the main contenders list.
For me it's Coufal, just pipping Soucek. Blokes been immense. The video of him on his haunches after the Man City defeat tells you all you need to know about him.

Ogbonna has been out too long for me. Unfortunate for him as he was phenomenal and should have been captain. His leadership was apparent for all to see.
